Refund & Cancellation Policy
Vehicle Plate Service ("we", "our", "us") aims to be fair and transparent about cancellations and refunds. This policy explains when refunds are possible, how refunds are calculated, and how to request one.
1. Cancellation window
Cancellation requests are accepted within 24 hours of placing an order provided that production, vendor procurement, or shipment has not started. If processing or fabrication has already begun, cancellation may be refused or subject to deductions to cover costs already incurred.
2. How to request cancellation or refund
To request cancellation or refund, email support@vehicleplateservice.in with:
- Your Order ID (as shown in confirmation).
- Name and registered phone/email.
- Reason for cancellation and any supporting details or proof of transaction.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 48 business hours and advise whether cancellation is possible and any expected deductions.
3. Refund eligibility & typical calculations
- Full refund: If you cancel before any processing, procurement, or fabrication starts, a full refund may be issued.
- Partial refund: If processing, vendor procurement, or fabrication has started, refunds (if any) are reduced by demonstrable costs already incurred (vendor fees, material costs, and non-refundable gateway charges).
- Example calculation: Refund = Amount Paid − (Service Fee + Gateway Provider Non-Refundable Fees + Vendor/Procurement Costs). We will provide a clear breakdown when issuing the refund.
- Non-refundable items: Gateway settlement fees charged by banks/processors and third-party vendor charges that are non-refundable may be deducted from the refund amount.
4. Refund timeline & method
Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original method used for the transaction. Bank/processor settlement times may add further delay depending on the provider. If the original method is not available, we will agree an alternative method with you.
5. Non-refundable situations
- Requests made after the 24-hour cancellation window and after processing/fabrication has started.
- Errors due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer (e.g., incorrect vehicle number) once processing has started.
- After installation or delivery has been completed.
- Fees that are explicitly non-refundable by third parties (gateway providers, bank settlement fees, vendor deposits).
6. Modifications & corrections
Minor changes (e.g., typos in address or phone) can usually be made before fabrication begins — contact support immediately. Once fabrication or dispatch starts, modifications may not be possible or may incur additional charges.
7. Disputes & escalation
If you dispute a refund decision, please first contact support. If unresolved, escalate to our Data Protection Officer / Grievance Officer at dpo@vehicleplateservice.in. Provide your Order ID, support ticket number (if any), and documentation.
